– by Simone Price

The Greater Bay Area Chapter and other Bay Area organizations host a variety of free or low cost events for people with T1D and their friends and families. These are great opportunities to make new friends, catch up with old friends, and learn about the latest T1D research, technology, and management best practices. Below are some upcoming events for people in the type 1 diabetes community. These include various organizations, so please be sure to check out all of the links below and share these with anyone who you think might be interested. We hope to see you at one of these events soon:

Last Days of Summer and Back to School We Go!

Whether we like it or not, the dog days of summer are upon us and that means that the kiddos are returning to school, we may have new routines to fall into (or fallĀ backĀ into), and another summer of amazing memories, adventures and stories is headed to the books. While it is the season to get back to normal, it doesnā€™t mean that weā€™re falling back to normal! There are some great events for the T1D community to connect with one another, learn about the most exciting (I mean, REALLY exciting) advances in research for better treatments and a cure, and most of all, support the community.
