It’s not too late to join other local families in learning more about the 2013 Walk to Cure Diabetes at Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove!  Join JDRF as we kick off the 2013 Walk to Cure Diabetes event season and enjoy MY Museum, the Monterey County Youth Museum where children play to learn and adults learn to play.

About the Monterey Bay Walk Kick Off at MY Museum

You will get admittance into MY Museum, access to the Walk presentation and light snacks. Featuring such exhibits as a theater, play hospital, Build-a-House, Go-Fore-Golf, and a creation station, MY Museum offers hours of entertainment for the younger set. While the kids play (safely supervised by adult and teen volunteers) listen to a short presentation featuring fundraising tips and more information about the Walk at Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove on Sunday, October 6. There will be light refreshments available as well. The space is limited inside MY Museum so RSVP and save your space today!

To participate, we ask each person who wishes to attend on August 24, 2013 to follow these two steps:
1. Register for a Walk. You can register at walk.jdrf.org
2. Register for the Kick Off at http://www.jdrfbayarea.org/walk/kickoff/#Bot. Meet a fundraising minimum of $25 per person by Thursday, August 22, 2013.  These dollars count toward your Walk team total, so this is a great incentive to kick-starting your fundraising efforts!
